Care for your paddle:

1. **Regular Cleaning**

After playing, use a specially designed eraser to clean the surface, effectively removing stubborn stains and marks. If a specific eraser is not available, wipe the paddle with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and grime. Avoid using abrasive materials or strong chemical cleaners as they can damage the paddle’s surface. For deep cleaning, a mild soap solution can be used, but make sure to thoroughly rinse and dry with a soft towel.

2. **Store Properly**

Store your paddle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Prolonged exposure to heat can warp the paddle’s surface and weaken its structure. If possible, use a paddle cover to protect it from dust and scratches when not in use.

3. **Handle With Care**

Always handle your paddle gently. Avoid dropping it or hitting it against hard surfaces, as impacts can cause cracks, dents, or other structural damage. Be mindful when playing near hard surfaces like fences and walls.

4. **Check for Damage**

Regularly inspect your paddle for signs of wear and tear, such as cracks, delamination, or edge guard damage. Early detection of these issues can prevent further deterioration and help you decide when it’s time to repair or replace the paddle.

5. **Avoid Moisture**

If your paddle gets wet, dry it immediately with a towel. Do not use your paddle in rain or leave it in moist areas, as excessive moisture can affect the adhesive and materials, leading to potential damage.

6. **Rotate Paddles**

If you play frequently, consider rotating between two or more paddles to distribute wear evenly and prolong their overall lifespans. This practice can also help you adapt to different play styles and conditions.

7. **Use an Edge Guard**

Most paddles come with an edge guard, but if yours does not, consider adding one. An edge guard protects the paddle's edges from chips and dings, which are common during play.

8. **Use Edge Guard Tape**

Most paddles come with an edge guard, but whether or not they do, adding an edge guard tape to the paddle’s edges is advisable. This tape reduces wear on the edges and can be replaced regularly, decreasing the frequency of replacing the paddle due to edge wear.
